13th – 20th May 2019
This year I enjoyed a very successful Painting Holiday in the beautiful Turkish fishing village of Kalkan. I enjoyed it so much so that I am excitied to say I will be returning in May 2019 to lead a painting trip, organised by Carol Brown.
This is an opportunity to enjoy a week painting in Turkey with its rich abundance of subject matter.
Kalkan is situated on what is known as the Turquoise Coast of Turkey. It is not a place of mass tourism. Kalkan tumbles down the foothills of the Taurus Mountains to the sheltered harbour that lays between Kas and Fethiye. The old town has cobbled streets, some of which are quite steep. The sea water in this area is crystal clear and frequented by groups of turtles. Surrounded by mountains, flora, olive groves and historical villages with their Ottoman Greek architecture, harbours and coves you should find inspiration whatever your genre.
We will be staying in a very nice boutique hotel, with a swimming pool in which you can refresh yourself after a day painting. The hotel is not in the town centre but overlooks the sea and although it is a pleasant walk to the Old Town, taxis are very cheap. Our painting will take place in and around Kalkan old Town. Private buses will be organised to take you to other locations.
Flights are available from Norwich Airport and are in addition to the Holiday costs.

Painting in France 2019 dates to be arranged
Based in the beautiful rural Creuse département of the Limousin region. Les Marronniers (The Chestnut Trees) is an idyllic former farm, a painting, walking and cycling paradise along riversides and through beautiful woodland where nature is pretty much undisturbed. Situated on the edge of a pretty hamlet with 7 acres of own private gardens and peaceful meadows.
The nearby villages of Crozant with its castle ruins, and Fresselines made famous by Monet, boast spectacular views of the Rivers Creuse and Sedelle. Lake Chambon with its safe sandy beaches, fishing, water-sports, and lakeside restaurants and bars is only 10 minutes away.
The Course : All our painting locations and picturesque villages are within an easy 10 -15 minute drive or within the grounds. Mo welcomes all abilities on her courses as she teaches on an individual basis in the medium of your choice. There are also plenty of group demonstrations with opportunities for questions. Each day there is a morning and afternoon painting session with a relaxing picnic and a glass of wine. Evenings are for relaxing and reviewing the days work with a drink before enjoying the wonderful French cuisine.
Accommodation : Accommodation is in three gîtes that are side-by-side modernised stone cottages created from what was once the second farmhouse at 'Les Marronniers'.
